Alan Wight - Cascade
I really enjoyed this talk and got a lot from it. At the end of the talk I felt brave enough to approach Alan and ask him for work experience opportunities. He aid he could offer us some and gave me his business card. I will be chasing that up after the Easter holidays to hopefully sort something for summer holidays. Will post my progress !!!

I took a lot of photographs, as well as filming, on my new DSLR. When I have finished editing the images, I will drop the off at Oriel Wrecsam and publish them to my Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dynamite-Photography-Film/265825453502553) and the Collective's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/TheNorthWalesFilmAndPhotographyCollective).
I have also edited the complete video for this event, using the footage captured by myself, Holly and Sue. The completed video was burned to disc and hand delivered to the Oriel. I am waiting to hear back from them to see if I can make the video public.
Wrexham Community Choir Fundraiser @ Saith Seren
While we were running our stall at Ffresh festival, we were approached by Christy Louise, a member of Wrexham Community Choir, @67 and a fellow Glyndwr student. She asked for our help documenting an event she had organised as part of her final year project. The event was to be held at Saith Seren and would act as a fund raiser for the choir. Naturally, we agreed to undertake this task and penciled in our diary for 26th March.
We had a very large crew together for this event as we knew that there was going to be a lot of clients there that we had worked for before and we needed to make ourselves noticed and look professional. However, I feel that we took too many people for such a small venue. We kept getting in the way of each other and the audience. Even so, we managed to cover the event smoothly and had a good night in the process. We had film crews there, headed up by Holly Cooper and Paul Lowndes, to catch all of the action, along with a handful of photographers. For a change, I was on the photographic side of things with this event. I have chosen to use this opportunity to use these images in my university work for the event photography part of the creative media directions module.
As well as being part of the photographic team, I also decided to take over the editing of the footage. I am not finished this yet but it is well underway. I have all of the footage from the various cameras on my Mac. I plan to ask for help from Ayse Kaya and Ryan Ankers, as they did the bulk of the hand-held cinematography.
